Yale Day of Service 2010

Be a Part of Something Big!

The tradition of service is rooted in Yale’s past… but perhaps it is more relevant today than ever.  We know you want to give back, not only to Yale, but also to your community.  So, get together with your family and friends, and join us on Saturday, May 16, 2009, for what promises to be a milestone day for Yale, as we collectively embody Yale’s great tradition of service to others.

The Yale Club of Beijing has a number of exciting plans for this day.  Yale Club members and friends of Yale will participate in a variety of service projects in Beijing and other locations throughout China and then come together in the evening for a celebratory event.

Over the past few years, Chinese cities have witnessed real estate prices reach dizzying heights.  In the wake of the US housing crisis, pundits are turning a critical eye to the one country that seemingly defies gravity.  As is often the case, opinions are numerous while consensus is hard to reach.

In an effort to address the questions surrounding the potential bubble, the Penn Club of Beijing has gathered a group of professionals intimately involved in the Chinese real estate market to present their thoughts on the current market and potential future developments.  Through sharing their views and answering audience questions, hopefully, a clearer picture will emerge.  As it is never a good idea to think on an empty stomach, brunch will be provided.

We cordially invite you to join us for this incredible event.  Whether you are an industry professional, a potential home-buyer, or merely a casual observer, this event promises something for everyone. We look forward to hosting you for an unforgettable time.

Confirmed speakers include:

Dr. Andy Wen, Design Director, Aedas Beijing Limited and Professor, Tsinghua University and the Central Academy of Fine Arts Beijing

Mr. Laurent, Fischler, Director of Investment Properties, CB Richard Ellis

Mr. Patrick, Chovanec, Associate Professor, Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management
